Apple has applied for registration of a trademark of the same name in Russia

The American corporation Apple has applied for registration of the trademark of the same name in Russia. The relevant information is posted in Rospatent's electronic database, Izvestia found out on May 6.

According to the documents, the application for registration was received in May. Apple Inc. is listed as the applicant. Apple itself suspended sales of its devices in Russia in 2022.

Prior to that, on March 28, it was reported that the corporation had applied for registration of the Genius Browse trademark in Russia. In case of successful registration, the corporation will be able to distribute the Genius Browse software in the country, which is a function of the Apple TV streaming service.
