Moscow Court bans dozens of channels selling fake carsharing accounts
The Lublin court of Moscow has blocked dozens of channels in one of the messengers, where unknown people sold fake accounts for short-term car rental. This is stated on May 6 in the case file, which was reviewed by Izvestia.
Anyone could illegally purchase accounts with carsharing user data on the resources and use them to rent a car.
As the court recalled, such schemes can be used by minors, as well as those who are deprived of their rights or have restrictions on driving for medical reasons.
On May 4, the Perovsky Court of Moscow, at the request of the prosecutor's office, blocked the resources on which equipment for bypassing the Platon system was sold.It is clarified that the use of such equipment is illegal, as it violates the requirements of art. 12.21.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation.
