Amur Embankment in Blagoveshchensk to be expanded

The Amur River embankment will be expanded in Blagoveshchensk by the beginning of the summer season. There will be two sports areas.

Mayor Oleg Imameev spoke about the progress of landscaping after an off-site meeting with contractors.

So, the first site will be located in the Silver Mile area. Excavation and installation work has already been completed there. Now specialists are engaged in the breakdown of ecotropics, installing a side stone and bleachers, installing rain-receiving trays. In the near future, engineering networks will be laid there, power supply and video surveillance systems will be installed, pedestrian zones will be equipped, sports equipment and small architectural forms will be installed. The territory will be landscaped and illuminated. All work must be completed by May 20.

The second sports ground will be built in the area of Teatralnaya Street. There is a roller skating area, beach volleyball and streetball courts, and outdoor exercise equipment. Attractions and non-standard retail outlets will be installed closer to the embankment, which were previously located on the territory of the city park and the OKC.

The tenant of the site, Amurasso company, will be engaged in the construction of pedestrian zones, the installation of fences and the renovation of benches. According to the mayor, the possibility of sending pleasure boats from the pier in the Teatralnaya area is being considered again, PriamurMedia news agency writes.

Earlier it was reported that a dinopark and a dinosaur museum will appear in Blagoveshchensk on the territory of the Tribune Hall. Their opening is scheduled for June 1, when the Amur Economic Forum begins.
