Rare pine trees cut down in Birobidzhan
In Birobidzhan, in the Paperin district, pine trees rare for these places were destroyed. They grew along the road.
Local residents, the so-called people's correspondents, told IA EAOmedia about the incident. They claim that the trees were healthy, and why they were destroyed is unclear.
The city administration explained to the agency that the pine trees blocked the view of the drivers. The trees had to be cut down in connection with the order of the State Traffic Inspectorate. A fatal traffic accident occurred on this site. The city's housing and Communal Services department has issued a felling list, and trees will be cut down on both sides of the road.
The agency writes that earlier, Vera Kalmanova, a senior researcher at the Laboratory of Geological and Geoecological Research at ICARP DVO RAE, said in an interview with the Far Eastern Scientist newspaper that green areas within the urban area of Birobidzhan were significantly lower than normal — only 4 square meters. m per inhabitant.
Earlier it was reported that a skate park and a cable car can be built in Birobidzhan in the Paper Square. Two location options are presented for voting as part of the All-Russian vote for the selection of landscaping facilities. The first project provides for the creation of several functional areas, including a cable car and a skate park. As part of the second project, it is possible to create a modern playground that will become a center of attraction for families with children.
