Reuters reported on the sinking of a cargo ship bound for Ukraine

A cargo ship carrying hundreds of metric tons of soda to Ukraine hit rocks and sank off the coast of Greece. This was reported on May 6 by the Reuters news agency, citing a representative of the Greek Coast Guard.

It is reported that the cargo ship Corsage C under the flag of Vanuatu left Albania and sank off the Greek island of Andros on its way to Ukraine. All nine crew members, including eight Turkish citizens and one Azerbaijani, were successfully rescued.

Seven of the castaways managed to reach the rocky island, two were rescued from the water, sources said.

The Dhaka Tribune newspaper reported on April 14 that more than 250 people, including women and children, were missing after a trawler crashed off the coast of Bangladesh. According to preliminary information, the trawler left the port in southern Bangladesh towards Malaysia. Due to overcrowding and the storm, the crew lost control and the ship sank. Rescue work has begun.
