A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The North group of troops improved the tactical situation and hit the formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost up to 210 people, five armored combat vehicles, two vehicles, an artillery piece and an anti-aircraft missile system.

The western group of troops has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. Enemy manpower and equipment were defeated in a number of DPR settlements. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 180 soldiers, two armored combat vehicles, 26 vehicles, three artillery pieces, including one of Western manufacture, and five electronic warfare (EW) stations.

The soldiers of the southern group of forces improved their position along the front line. Formations of the mechanized, assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guard brigade in the areas of the DPR settlements were defeated. The enemy lost up to 130 militants, 17 vehicles, five field artillery guns and a counter-battery radar station.

Units of the Center group of forces took up more advantageous positions and hit formations of Ukrainian militants in the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The enemy's losses amounted to up to 290 soldiers, a tank, an armored combat vehicle, seven vehicles, two multiple rocket launchers, four artillery pieces and an electronic warfare station.

The Vostok group of troops continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses. The manpower and equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces brigades were defeated in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy lost up to 280 people, three armored combat vehicles, seven vehicles and an artillery piece.

Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of a heavy mechanized, two mechanized and mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in areas of populated areas of the Zaporizhia region. More than 35 militants, an armored combat vehicle, 21 vehicles and two electronic warfare stations were destroyed.

Tactical aviation, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated the assembly shops of unmanned aerial vehicles, fuel depots, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 156 areas.

Twelve guided aerial bombs, a US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher and 605 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

The units maintain drones and ground-based robots near the line of combat contact.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 142,852 unmanned aerial vehicles, 659 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29,190 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,716 multiple rocket launchers, 34,795 field artillery guns and mortars, 60945 units of special vehicles have been destroyed.
