The Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced a competition to extend the SSJ-100 resource

The Ministry of Industry and Trade (Minpromtorg) of Russia is looking for a contractor for research and development (R&D) to increase the resource and maintain the airworthiness of SSJ100 family aircraft. This was reported on May 6 by the newspaper Vedomosti with reference to the relevant notice.

According to the terms of reference, the purpose of the work is to increase the resource of aircraft from the current 10-15 thousand flights to 15-20 thousand. The allowable flight time in hours should increase from the current 15-25 thousand to 25-40 thousand hours. For a number of modifications, the service life is expected to be extended from 15 to 20 years. When designing the model, the potential of 54,000 flights and 70,000 flight hours was initially estimated.
