Medvedev ridiculed fakes about buried gas cylinders instead of gasification
On May 5, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council and chairman of the United Russia party, joked about the implausible information about gas cylinders that were allegedly buried instead of real gasification during his visits.
"When I turn off the gas, <...> after that there are a lot of publications that it's all lies, there is no gas, but the cylinder is buried. And as soon as I left, the balloon ran out," Medvedev said in a video posted on the Maks messenger.
Medvedev clarified that the gas supply and gasification program for the regions, which is currently being implemented by Gazprom, was initiated by United Russia. According to him, the project began work in the mid-noughties of the last century, when Medvedev was on the board of directors, but it was suspended. However, later the initiative of the party was supported by Russian President Vladimir Putin, thanks to which gas is provided throughout the country.
Earlier in the day, Medvedev launched the ceremony of lighting Eternal Lights at the memorials of the Great Patriotic War in 12 cities of the country. It is specified that the event is being held as part of the "We Keep the Victory Flame" campaign, the memorial "Alley of Memory" in the Tver region has become the central venue.
