Zakharova declared Russia's readiness for effective negotiations on Ukraine

The Russian side is ready for effective negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict and does not abandon them. This was announced on May 6 by the official representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova.

"We are open, as the Russian leadership has always emphasized, to the negotiation process, to contacts that will have a real effect, a real result," she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

Zakharova also added that those responsible from the American side for negotiations on Ukraine are now fully involved in the situation in the Middle East.

"But I say it again: for our part, we have not abandoned the concept of the negotiation process, contacts, and meetings that would be aimed at the result we have declared," concluded the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry.
