On the eve of Victory Day, servicemen of the separate motorized rifle Sevastopol Brigade of the 1st Guards Tank Army of the Moscow Military District held a patriotic action "St. George Ribbon" in Moscow. This was reported on May 6 in the press service of the Moscow Military District.

"It is a great honor for us to hold such an action in Moscow. The soldiers of our brigade always honor the traditions of their ancestors, and seeing the response of the townspeople is the best reward for our work," said one of the soldiers of the unit.

It is noted that during the campaign aimed at preserving the memory of the heroic deed of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, more than 1,000 St. George ribbons were distributed to citizens. In addition to presenting symbols of military glory, the military of the Sevastopol brigade told residents and guests of the capital about the rules of wearing ribbons, as well as the meaning of black and orange colors.

It is specified that the event is being held as part of the "Keep the Victory Flame" campaign. The memorial "Alley of Memory" in the Tver region became the central venue.
