The average pension amount in the Far Eastern Federal District (Far Eastern Federal District) is the highest among all federal districts of the Russian Federation and exceeds 28 thousand rubles. This follows from an analysis of the statistics of the Social Fund of the Russian Federation conducted by TASS on May 6.

It is specified that the maximum average pension in the Far Eastern Federal District reaches 28.2 thousand rubles. At the same time, the lowest rate is observed in the North Caucasus Federal District, where the average payout is 20.5 thousand rubles.

The gap between these regions is 7.7 thousand rubles. At the same time, the national average pension for March 2026 was set at 25,274 rubles.

Why is the average payout lower now and what could change the situation?

From the data of the Social Fund of the Russian Federation dated March 4, it became known that in March 2026, the average pension among working Russians over 30 thousand rubles was recorded in eight regions of the country. In the Murmansk Region, it amounts to 30,726.13 rubles, in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District — 31,326.49 rubles, in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) — 31,366.47 rubles.
