In Cheboksary, on May 6, the restoration of windows and balconies that were damaged as a result of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) will begin The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on May 6 by the mayor Stanislav Trofimov.
"From 09:00, specialized specialists will continue apartment—by-apartment rounds to determine the exact measurements of damaged windows and balcony structures," the message in the Maks messenger says.
Trofimov clarified that three temporary accommodation facilities continue to operate in Cheboksary for people whose housing is in an unsuitable condition.
Trofimov said on May 5 that Cheboksary authorities had deployed a temporary accommodation facility and an operational headquarters after the drone strikes. The authorities of Chuvashia are also considering declaring a national emergency.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Health of Chuvashia, 34 people were injured as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on Cheboksary. In addition, the ministry noted that two people also died as a result of the incident.
