The Ministry of Transport announced the introduction of cards on the Crimean Bridge from Taman

Cards were introduced at the entrance to the Crimean Bridge from Taman (Krasnoyarsk Territory), the purpose of which is to speed up the process of vehicle inspection. This was announced on May 5 by the Russian Ministry of Transport.

"Cards are issued at the entrance to the bridge for the convenience of travelers — a specialist, based on the type of vehicle and cargo being transported, indicates which type of inspection the vehicle needs to undergo," the ministry told RBC Krasnodar.

It is specified that the route of movement for passing the inspection is further determined and a card is issued. The Ministry of Transport added that a similar system was already introduced last year during rush hours to provide guidance to drivers and reduce check-up time.

On April 22, the press service of the Ministry of Transport reminded that passage across the Crimean Bridge is closed to all types of trucks weighing more than 1.5 tons with and without cargo, all-metal vans with commercial bodies, booths and insulated structures, as well as passenger vans that have been converted for commercial transportation. It is specified that hybrid cars and electric vehicles are prohibited from traveling, the owners of these vehicles must choose another route — the R-280 Novorossiya.
