American actor Malkovich received Croatian citizenship

Hollywood actor John Malkovich has been granted Croatian citizenship. This was announced on May 5 by the Prime Minister of the Republic Andrei Plenkovich.

"We welcomed John Malkovich, <...> we are glad that he proudly supports his Croatian roots," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Plenkovich added that the actor's long career and his success in art are a great source of inspiration for the younger generation.

Former New York Mayor Eric Adams announced on April 11 that he had acquired Albanian citizenship. According to him, the award was accepted in recognition of shared values such as family and resilience.
