Arsenal beat Atletico in the second leg of the Champions League
Arsenal London football club defeated Atletico Madrid in the second semi-final match of the Champions League and secured their participation in the final of the tournament. The match took place on May 5 and ended with a score of 1-0.
The only goal in the 45th minute was scored by the Gunners' forward Bukayo Saka. Taking into account the fact that the first match in Madrid ended in a 1-1 draw, the English club advanced to the next stage based on the sum of two meetings.
Arsenal will play in the final of the most prestigious European club tournament for the second time in its history. For the first time, the Londoners reached the decisive match in the 2005/2006 season, but then they lost to the Spanish Barcelona with a score of 1:2.
The Champions League final of the current season is scheduled for Saturday, May 30th. The game will be played in Budapest.
PSG beat Bayern Munich in the first match of the 1/2 Champions League final with a score of 5:4. The match took place on April 28 at the Parc des Princes stadium in Paris. The gates of the French team were defended by Russian football player Matvey Safonov.
