Named best-selling cars in Russia in April

The Lada Granta model topped the Russian car market in April 2026. The crossover of the domestic brand Tenet T7 regained the title of the most popular SUV, ahead of Haval Jolion. This is stated in the report of the analytical agency Autostat, which Izvestia reviewed on May 6.

Thus, Lada Granta cars (including those produced on its basis) were sold in April in the amount of 12.4 thousand units. The Tenet T7 crossover took second place and sold 7.6 thousand copies in the middle of spring. The March winner of the best-selling crossover title, Haval Jolion, dropped one step lower, but retained the title of the most popular foreign car in the country. By the end of April, its sales amounted to 6.7 thousand units.

This is followed by two Lada models — the Vesta family and the Niva Travel SUV (6.1 thousand and 4.6 thousand units, respectively). In addition to them, the Tenet T4 crossover, the Lada Iskra family, the Haval M6 crossover, the Lada Niva Legend SUV and the Geely Monjaro crossover entered the top ten, with figures in April ranging from 2.5 – 3.5 thousand units.

According to analysts, three models had negative market dynamics in January–April: Lada Granta (-16.6%) and Vesta (-46.1%), as well as Geely Monjaro (-6.3%). Moreover, sales of these models decreased both in four months and in April. Sales increased the most in January – April for Lada Niva Travel — by 23.7%, with a separate increase of 47.4% in mid—spring.

As previously reported on this day, by the end of April this year, 117.5 thousand new passenger cars were sold in Russia, which is 15.1% more than in the same month of 2025.
