KAMAZ will release the first batch of new armored personnel carriers in 2027

Next year, KAMAZ plans to produce a pilot batch of armored personnel carriers (APC). Sergey Kogogin, the head of the Naberezhnye Chelny auto giant, spoke about this during a conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

He specified that the tests of the equipment should begin as early as 2026.

"Our APC is outdated, there is no full-fledged one. Our company undertook to do it on its own. This year we will raise this machine, start testing, so that next year we can release a pilot batch," said the CEO of KAMAZ.

Currently, KAMAZ produces 3.8 thousand special military vehicles per year, Kogogin noted. He noted that in a short period of time, the company's specialists have developed more than 20 different models.

"Our car has a capacity of 10 people, it does not explode when artillery is fired by rockets, it is protected from fragments, 6 kg under the wheel. It has good ballistic resistance. Shelling is extremely rare now, mostly netting from drones. I say: every work you do, every car you produce, means ten lives of our soldiers," said the head of the car company.
