Representatives of the US Navy have deployed their third aircraft carrier, the George H.W. Bush (CVN 77), in the waters of the Arabian Sea. This was announced on May 5 by the press service of the Central Command of the American Armed Forces (AF).

"The aircraft carrier USS George H.W. Bush (CVN 77) is crossing the Arabian Sea, while American troops are carrying out a naval blockade of Iran from the Gulf of Oman and supporting the Freedom Project in the Strait of Hormuz," the ministry said in a statement on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

It also notes that more than 60 military aircraft are stationed on board the vessel in question.

The aircraft carrier George H.W. Bush (CVN 77), as well as the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) and the USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN-78), were involved in the simultaneous transfer of 15,000 American soldiers to the Middle East. Representatives of the central command of the US Armed Forces, reporting on April 24, stated that such operations had not been carried out since 2003.
