In Crimea, rabies was detected in a domestic dog in the village of Bogatoe, Belogorsky district. The epizootic outbreak was formed on Sadovaya Street, the press service of the regional State Veterinary Committee reports.

The cause of the incident was the inaction of the dog's owner, in particular, the lack of timely rabies vaccination.

According to experts, if vaccinated, even if in contact with another infected animal, the pet's illness and subsequent restrictions could have been avoided.
