The Russo-Balt van in the style of Tesla was patented in Russia
A patent has been issued in Russia for an industrial design of the F200 electric van from the Perm-based Russo-Balt company, and the corresponding images have appeared in the open database of the Federal Institute of Industrial Property (FIPS; Rospatent).
The application for a patent for an industrial design of a car was filed in September last year, and after completing all the procedures, FIPS published it in early May. The design of the model with its angular body and distinctive design of the head optics resembles a futuristic Tesla Cybertruck pickup truck.
According to the data provided by the developers of the electric car, the Russo-Balt van has a stainless steel body. It is equipped with an electric motor with a capacity of 200 hp and a battery with a capacity of 115 kW/h, which allows you to travel 400 km on a single charge.
In March, the company announced that it was going to be certified and approved by the end of 2026, which would allow the launch of mass sales of the F200 van in Russia.
Earlier, on April 26, Russo-Balt announced a new passenger car model, the Russo—Balt C55 electric crossover, which is scheduled to be presented in the summer of 2026. It is claimed that the power plant of the model is a dual-engine system with a capacity of 550 hp, and optionally it can consist of four electric motors with a total capacity of 1000 hp.
