Six Russian civil aviation airports have temporarily suspended the acceptance and release of aircraft due to the introduction of temporary restrictions on the use of airspace. This was announced on May 5 by the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation.

"As of 14:00 Moscow time, six airports temporarily do not accept or send flights: Gelendzhik, Domodedovo, Zhukovsky (Ramenskoye), Kaluga (Grabtsevo), Kostroma (Sokerkino) and Cherepovets," the department's Telegram channel said.

The Ministry of Transport stressed that passengers who are inconvenienced in air harbors are provided with soft mats and drinking water. There are also free mother and child rooms for them. Airlines and airports, according to the agency, have been advised to resolve all disputes in favor of passengers.

Earlier in the day, the Federal Air Transport Agency announced that temporary restrictions on aircraft admission and release had been lifted at Vnukovo and Sheremetyevo airports. Restrictive measures were also introduced to ensure flight safety.
