Russia increased its revenue from fish exports by 19% in the first quarter of 2026
In the first quarter of 2026, Russia was able to increase its revenue from fish and seafood exports — over $1.7 billion was received from these operations during the specified period, which is 19% higher than in the same period of 2025. This was reported on May 5 in the press service of Agroexport.
"In the first three months of 2026, Russian exports of fish and seafood exceeded $1.7 billion, which is 19% more than the same period last year. The average price of exported products exceeded $3,000 per ton," the Telegram channel said.
Ilya Ilyushin, the head of the organization, commenting on these values, said that fish and seafood, among other items, are the "drivers" of Domestic exports from the agro-industrial sector. Russia, he stressed, plays the role of the world's largest exporter of these goods. According to Ilyushin, sales of finished products such as fillets, surimi (concentrated fish protein) and canned food are actively developing abroad.
