A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The Northern group of troops improved the tactical situation and hit formations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in a number of settlements in Sumy and Kharkiv regions. The enemy lost over 200 people, 13 vehicles and three electronic warfare (EW) stations.

The Zapad group of forces has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. In the Kharkiv region and the DPR, the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were hit. The losses of the Ukrainian militants amounted to over 190 soldiers, two armored combat vehicles, 21 vehicles, three artillery pieces and an electronic warfare station.

Units of the southern group of forces improved their position along the front line and hit enemy formations in a number of DPR settlements. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost over 165 militants, four armored combat vehicles, 17 vehicles, two field artillery guns and an electronic warfare station.

The fighters of the Center group of forces have taken more advantageous positions and positions. They defeated the manpower and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine brigades in the areas of settlements of the Donetsk region and the DPR. The enemy lost over 315 people, six armored combat vehicles and eight vehicles.

The military personnel of the Vostok group of forces continued to advance into the depth of the enemy's defenses and struck the enemy in the settlements of the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 290 soldiers, four armored combat vehicles and 12 vehicles.

Units of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of the mechanized and mountain assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in areas of populated areas of the Zaporizhia region. More than 50 militants, 17 vehicles and three electronic warfare stations were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery of groups of troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation defeated ammunition depots, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed formations and foreign mercenaries in 148 districts.

Nine guided aerial bombs, two US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, six Flamingo long-range cruise missiles and 601 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 142247 unmanned aerial vehicles, 658 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29177 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1714 multiple rocket launchers, 34777 field artillery guns and mortars, 60,865 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
