Mosbilet tells about the first museum of plastic figures in Russia

The figures in the "Historial" are made of silicone with the use of hand-painted, the eyes are particularly detailed, because when creating them, the Artists of the studio of plastic makeup carefully studied the characters' appearances, facial details, their biography and the historical period in which they lived. Costume designers have reinterpreted historical images, projecting them onto the current era while preserving the characters' characters.

"If you look closely, Nikolai Vasilyevich has one part of his costume — a cape, a continuation of the historical outfit, and the other — a modern coat. And this separation is as if the character is frozen between two worlds. This is what most reflects the main concept of the museum," said costume designer Oksana Shevchenko.

The museum is located in the Parking Gallery art space underground, so while working on the project, we contacted the architects who worked on the Moscow metro stations. The feeling of gloom in the room was avoided thanks to the experience of specialists in working with complex underground spaces. Architects Alexander Tomashenko and Ivan Kolmanok emphasized that the silhouette of the Kremlin Wall can be seen from a certain angle.

The exhibition features Alexander Pushkin, Nikolai Gogol, Vladimir Vysotsky, Leo Tolstoy, as well as contemporaries, among them the first female cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova.
