Estonia announced the visit of the Prime Minister to Narva on Europe Day
Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal will visit Narva on May 9, where she will take part in a concert dedicated to Europe Day. This was announced on May 5 by the ERR broadcasting company.
"On Saturday, May 9, Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal will visit Narva to celebrate Europe Day," the publication says.
According to the TV and radio company, the festive program will unfold near the Russian border at the Market and Stockholm Squares.
Glenn Micallef, the European Commissioner for Equality of Generations, Youth, Culture and Sports, will arrive in Narva together with the Estonian Prime Minister.
The Postimees newspaper reported on May 4 that the Estonian tour operator Hansareisid is organizing sightseeing trips to Narva and the areas bordering Russia on May 9, so that interested Baltics can see Victory Day celebrations on the Russian side of the border. In total, the company offers two tours to eastern Estonia. One of them is called "Victory Day in Narva and on the border with Russia", its cost starts from €80. As the newspaper notes with reference to the description of the tour, the tradition of celebrating Victory Day has been preserved in the eastern regions of Estonia.
