On May 4, American leader Donald Trump joked during a speech at a business summit at the White House that he would leave the post of head of state only in eight to nine years.

The President talked about the measures taken by his administration to help businesses, which are expected to last for 10 years.

"We did the right thing. And thus, when I leave office, say, in eight or nine years, I will be able to use them," Trump said.

On April 25, Politico newspaper learned about the serious consideration in the White House of US Secretary of State Marco Rubio for the presidency in the future. It was clarified that after the unsuccessful 2016 presidential campaign, the politician was considered too belligerent and conservative. However, his efforts to remove former Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro from power and his "unwavering loyalty" to Trump have strengthened his position both in the White House and among some supporters of the MAGA movement.
