On May 5, the Governor of the Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko, announced the danger of an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

"Attention, the danger of UAVs in the airspace of the Leningrad region has been announced," the Telegram channel said in a statement.

It is noted that for this reason, the speed of the mobile Internet may be reduced.

Earlier, on May 3, Drozdenko reported that a massive attack by Ukrainian Armed Forces drones was repelled in the Leningrad region, the main purpose of which was the seaport in the city of Primorsk. It is noted that as a result of the repulse of the attack, a fire broke out on the territory of the port, which was promptly eliminated, and a spill of petroleum products was avoided.

On April 30, the Governor of the Leningrad Region reported to Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council, on the operation of air defense systems in the region. He also announced an inspection of the training center of the Leningrad Military District, where operators of unmanned systems are trained, and the graduation of cadets has been increased to 150 people per month.
