The UAE Foreign Ministry has declared the right to respond to Iran's attacks
The Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has strongly condemned Iran's attacks on civilian targets in the country and reserves the right to respond to them. This was announced on May 4 by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"The United Arab Emirates has strongly condemned Iran's renewed terrorist attacks on civilian facilities and structures in the country using missiles and drones, which injured three Indian citizens," the ministry said in a statement published by the WAM news agency.
The statement also stated that the Iranian attack represents a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the security, stability and territorial integrity of the UAE. The country's authorities have stated that they do not intend to compromise on national security issues.
On the same day, the UAE Ministry of Defense announced that three missiles had been intercepted over the country's airspace. Another shell flew into the sea. In the city of Fujairah, a fire broke out at an oil industrial facility (NGO) as a result of a drone attack from Iran.
After that, the Iranian IRIB news agency, citing a senior military official, reported that the country had no plans to launch attacks on the United Arab Emirates.
