An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 was recorded in Mexico. This was reported on May 4 on the website of the National Seismological Service.
The epicenter of the tremors was at a depth of about 9 km. The tremors occurred 24 km west of the city of Pinotepa Nacional, which has a population of more than 25.8 thousand people.
There were no reports of casualties or damage as a result of the incident.
On May 2, an earthquake of magnitude 5.7 occurred in the south of Honshu Island in Japan. The epicenter of the earthquake was at a depth of about 70 km. It was noted that there were no concerns about a tsunami as a result of the earthquake.
