A "yellow" danger level has been declared in Moscow for Tuesday due to thunderstorms and wind.

The "yellow" weather hazard level due to thunderstorms and wind gusts up to 15 m/s will be in effect in Moscow on May 5. The Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation announced this on Monday, May 4.

"The warning period is from 9:00 to 21:00 on May 5 — thunderstorms are expected in some areas of Moscow, strengthening of the south-westerly wind with gusts up to 15 m/s," the Moscow City News agency quotes the message.

A similar warning will be in effect in the Moscow region, writes "Moscow 24".

Earlier in the day, forecaster Mikhail Leus announced that May 4 was the warmest day in the capital since the beginning of the year. At noon, the thermometer rose to +23.1 degrees, according to 360.ru .

Warm but mostly cloudy weather is expected in Moscow on Victory Day. Weather forecasters allow for short-term rains during the day. The air temperature will range from +14 to +19 degrees. The forecast is preliminary, clarifies Life.Ru .

Marina Makarova, a leading employee of the Hydrometeorological Center of Russia, said on May 2 that meteorological summer will begin in the Moscow region on May 26. As the meteorologist noted, this is most important for people working in the agricultural sector. At the same time, the weather conditions will allow all other Russians to feel the onset of the summer season.
