Drunk girl driving a car killed a pensioner in Buryatia

In the Ivolginsky district of the Republic of Buryatia, a drunk motorist killed an elderly woman and fled. This is reported by the Republican Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The hit-and-run occurred on Sunday, May 3, near the village of Taphar. A Toyota Avensis car hit a 66-year-old woman, after which it left the scene.

The pensioner received various injuries, from which she died on the spot. Later, police officers detained the driver of the car, a 25—year-old girl who was intoxicated.

According to UlanMedia, it is known that over the past year, the motorist has been detained twice for drunk driving. An investigation is being conducted into the incident, and the issue of initiating a criminal case is being resolved.

On April 4, in Bratsk, Irkutsk region, a drunk woman driving a Toyota Sprinter hit four teenagers who were crossing the road at a pedestrian crossing. An 18-year-old young man and three girls aged 16-17 needed medical help.
