Archaeologist Alexander Butyagin has stated that he has no plans to conduct lecture tours outside of Russia in the near future. He announced this on May 4 at a press conference at the Hermitage Museum.

"Anyway, outside of the Russian Federation, I have their (Foreign lecture tours. — Ed.) I'm not planning yet," TASS quotes Butyagin as saying.

He clarified that it is necessary to wait some time before starting to organize foreign lecture tours.

On April 30, Butyagin announced that he also wanted to go to Crimea again. The scientist ruled out trips to Europe in the near future, stressing that he had had enough of the latest impressions. He noted that the Federal Security Service (FSB), diplomats and many other people had done a lot of work. The archaeologist expressed his gratitude and added that he did not want to reload their work.

On the same day, Butyagin told how his detention by the Polish special services took place. Upon arrival in Poland, he checked into a hotel, walked around the city, returned and went to bed, and the next morning, during breakfast, he was detained by two women who introduced themselves as employees of the Polish Internal Security Agency (ABW).

He also said that he missed talking to people the most. He added that there were still people among his cellmates with whom he could communicate in Russian.
