A special military operation to protect the civilian population of Donbass has been conducted by Russia since February 24, 2022. The western group of troops has taken more advantageous positions and frontiers. Ukrainian formations in the Kharkiv region and the DPR were defeated. The Ukrainian Armed Forces lost up to 180 soldiers, a US-made M113 armored personnel carrier, five armored combat vehicles, 25 vehicles, four artillery pieces, a Grad multiple rocket launcher combat vehicle and three electronic warfare stations.

The soldiers of the southern group of forces improved their position along the front line and hit the enemy in the areas of the DPR settlements. The enemy lost up to 90 fighters, a German-made Marder infantry fighting vehicle, an Italian-made Puma armored car, an M113 armored personnel carrier and a Cossack armored fighting vehicle, 13 vehicles, three field artillery guns, four electronic warfare stations and two Israeli-made RADA RPS-42 counter-battery stations.

Units of the Center group of forces occupied more advantageous positions and frontiers, and also hit Ukrainian formations in the DPR and the Dnipropetrovsk region. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to up to 360 people, five armored combat vehicles, 11 vehicles, three artillery pieces and two electronic warfare stations.

The Vostok group of troops continued to move into the depth of the enemy's defenses. Ukrainian Armed Forces units were defeated in a number of settlements in the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions. The enemy lost over 315 soldiers, five vehicles and three field artillery pieces.

Fighters of the Dnepr group of forces defeated formations of three mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in areas of populated areas of the Zaporizhia region. More than 35 militants, 24 vehicles, an artillery piece and three electronic warfare stations were destroyed.

Operational-tactical aircraft, unmanned aerial vehicles, missile forces and artillery groups of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation have damaged transport infrastructure facilities used in the interests of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, ammunition depots, places of storage and preparation for the launch of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as temporary locations of Ukrainian armed forces and foreign mercenaries in 142 areas.

Eight guided aerial bombs, seven US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and 507 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were shot down by air defense systems.

According to the Ministry of Defense, since the beginning of the special military operation, 671 aircraft, 284 helicopters, 141646 unmanned aerial vehicles, 658 anti-aircraft missile systems, 29161 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1714 multiple rocket launchers, 34749 field artillery guns and mortars, 60777 units of special military vehicles have been destroyed.
