The results of the Caucasian Investment Forum — 2026 have been summed up
The Caucasian Investment Forum, one of the key business events aimed at developing the investment potential of the regions and expanding economic cooperation, has ended in Mineralnye Vody. The central theme of the Forum is "Expanding horizons of opportunities". The Forum is organized by the Roscongress Foundation with the support of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation and the Government of the Stavropol Territory.
One of the central events of the Forum program was the meeting of the Government commission on socio-economic development of the North Caucasus Federal District. As Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, noted at the event, the North Caucasus occupies an increasingly important place in the Russian economy. Investors' interest in the region is growing: the volume of capital investments increased by 10% last year and approached 1.5 trillion rubles.
"Thanks to the extensive tools of state support, capacities are being increased in industry, logistics, energy, and tourism. Healthcare, sports and cultural facilities, schools and kindergartens, residential buildings, roads, industrial infrastructure, engineering and utility networks are being created and modernized in each region, including with federal support," he added.
The Prime Minister visited the exhibition of the Caucasian Investment Forum, which features stands from the regions of the North Caucasus, Southern Russia and several foreign participants dedicated to investment projects. The KIF-2026 exhibition brought together 123 stands on an area of more than 10,000 square meters, including outdoor outdoor space.
"The Caucasian Investment Forum has once again confirmed its role as a key platform for dialogue between business and government, where promising ideas are born and strategically important agreements are concluded. This year, more than 60 agreements totaling about 400 billion rubles were signed at the Forum, including 4 agreements with a foreign company. In 2026, we see a significant increase in investor interest in the potential of the North Caucasus Federal District: a record number of participants, increased international cooperation, and, most importantly, concrete results. We have paid special attention to the comprehensive development of infrastructure, support for small and medium-sized businesses, the introduction of modern technologies and the preservation of the unique ecological potential of the territories. I am confident that the joint efforts of the state, business and society will maximize the investment opportunities of the Caucasus and ensure the sustainable development of the region for many years to come," said Alexander Novak, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Russian Federation, Curator of the North Caucasus Federal District, following the results of CIF 2026.
Within the framework of the CIF-2026 business program, issues related to the development of domestic tourism, the agro-industrial complex, transport infrastructure, various industries, energy, the banking sector, international cooperation and the humanitarian agenda, as well as other areas contributing to the sustainable economic growth of the North Caucasus Federal District regions were comprehensively discussed. At the same time, special attention was paid to the subject of education and training: A number of sessions were devoted to discussing the development and implementation of new educational programs in higher education institutions aimed at training in-demand specialists, as well as increasing the importance of professional retraining.
Anton Kobyakov, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation and Executive Secretary of the Organizing Committee of the Caucasian Investment Forum, noted that the rise of the North Caucasus Federal District is a multifaceted task focused on progress in the social and economic spheres of the region, encompassing both economic growth and the development of the well-being of residents.
As part of the main exhibition KIF-2026, stands of the subjects of the North Caucasus Federal District, as well as commercial companies operating in the North Caucasus Federal District, were presented. The Republic of Dagestan, the Republic of Chechnya, the Republic of Ingushetia, the Republic of North Ossetia–Alania, the Republic of Kabardino-Balkaria, the Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia, the Stavropol Territory, as well as the Donetsk People's Republic, the Republics of Abkhazia, South Ossetia and Adygea presented their investment projects. The central area of the exhibition was the joint stand of the Kavkaz.RF Development Institute.
"CIF-2026 has become a truly significant event for the North Caucasus Federal District. We are not just recording individual successes, but observing the formation of a holistic model of sustainable economic development in the region. It is especially important that investments come not only in the traditional sectors of tourism and the agro-industrial complex in the Caucasus, but also in high-tech sectors. This indicates a qualitative transformation of the district's economy, its diversification and increased competitiveness. I consider the increased focus on human capital to be an equally significant result: training programs, support for youth initiatives and the creation of attractive conditions for professionals directly affect the investment attractiveness of territories. Thanks to the integrated approach, we see a real improvement in the quality of life of the population. I am confident that the pace we have gained will allow us to bring the North Caucasus Federal District to a fundamentally new level of development in the coming years, where economic growth will be inextricably linked to the social well–being of the residents of the Caucasus," said Vladimir Zatynaiko, Deputy Director of the Roscongress Foundation and Director of the Caucasian Investment Forum.
The first day of CIF-2026 became the Day of Young Entrepreneurs. A specially designed business program, created with a focus on the needs of small and medium-sized businesses, brought together more than 1,100 participants, including students, young professionals and entrepreneurs. The Reliable Change Foundation acted as the operator of the Youth Day.
During the KIF-2026, an extensive cultural and excursion program to cultural institutions of the Stavropol Territory was prepared for the guests and participants of the Forum. The Kislovodsk Museum of Local Lore, the Yessentuki Museum of Local Lore named after V.P. Shpakovsky, the Memorial Museum-Estate of the artist N.A. Yaroshenko, the Literary and Musical Museum "Chaliapin's Cottage", the State Museum-Reserve of M.Y. Lermontov were available for visiting.
In addition, the Caucasus Investment Forum hosted the VinoGrad zone in the format of a wine salon dedicated to Russian winemaking, with products from Russia's leading wineries.
The theme of CIF-2026 is reflected in the expansion of horizons of opportunities for the economic development of the region and organically echoes the Year of Unity of Peoples in Russia. In this context, the festival program, integrated into the business agenda of the Forum, plays a special role. She turned formal meetings into live communication, allowing participants not only to discuss investment projects, but also to immerse themselves in the flavor of the peoples of the Caucasus: through music, dance, gastronomy and crafts.
The Caucasian Investment Forum has become a platform for the formation of a mechanism for the development of the North Caucasus Federal District. Systematic instructions combined with local activity will allow us to reach a trajectory of sustainable growth, improve the quality of life of citizens in the North Caucasus and develop the necessary infrastructure.
