Russian military personnel with technical knowledge are organizing workshops to work with unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the area of a special military operation (SVO). The situation at one of these facilities was shown by Izvestia on May 4.

"We started working. The command went to a meeting, and now we are trying to organize workshops of this type by units. We share our experience. There are comrades who are currently working for us near Donetsk," said an instructor technician with the call sign Voivode.

In one of these workshops, military personnel are engaged in the creation of attack UAVs that rise into the air and then dive at the enemy. According to the engineer with the call sign Dale, such tools can be modified to perform other tasks. For example, a single-use attack drone can be converted into a means of dropping ammunition, and some of them can be used to create repeaters for other UAVs.

Drones prepared by engineers are subsequently used to inflict fire damage on the enemy.

"A shaped shell was sent — intelligence found an enemy pickup truck carrying ammunition," said Izvestia correspondent Tatiana Simonenkova.

Objective control footage recorded the destruction of equipment as a result of an accurate strike by Russian fighters.

Earlier that day, it was reported that the ground-based maneuverable drone "Sturmovik" began to be tested in the area of a special military operation. The drone is equipped with a fiber-optic communication line (FOL), which allows the device to cover distances up to 30 km.
