The command of the separate assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) "Skala" offered the militants located in the Zaporizhia region the opportunity to leave the front line. This was reported on May 4 in the Russian law enforcement agencies.

"The commanders offered the Skala fighters who were dying in Lesnoye near Gulyai—Pole to buy their freedom and the opportunity to leave the front line," the security forces told TASS.

It is noted that the cost of such a buyout can be up to several tens of thousands of dollars.
