The State Duma reported cases of exemption from contributions for capital repairs

Contributions for major repairs are not charged if an apartment building is declared an emergency and is subject to demolition, or a decision has been made to seize the land on which it is located, along with all residential premises. This was announced on May 4 by State Duma Deputy Dmitry Svishchev (LDPR).

"Contributions for major repairs do not need to be paid if an apartment building is recognized as an emergency and subject to demolition, a decision has been made to seize a land plot for building with all residential premises in it," he told RIA Novosti

The parliamentarian clarified that contributions for major repairs are also not paid if the apartment building is not included in the regional overhaul program.

According to him, such an exception is rare and may apply, in particular, to houses recognized as objects of cultural heritage if their repairs are carried out at the expense of other sources of financing.
