The Russian Federation declared its rejection of the imposition of US citizenship

On May 3, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, announced Russia's non-recognition of the imposition of US citizenship on the children of employees of Roszagran institutions.

"The Russian side does not recognize the imposition of American citizenship on Russian citizens born into the families of our diplomatic, administrative, technical and consular staff in the United States," Zakharova wrote in an article for the Vedomosti newspaper.
