The United States will help to withdraw the ships blocked due to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. This was announced on May 3 by US President Donald Trump.

"I have instructed my representatives to inform them that we will make every effort to safely remove the ships and crews from the strait. <...> I repeat, these are ships from regions of the world that are in no way related to what is happening in the Middle East right now," he wrote on his page on the Truth Social network.
