The Immortal Regiment was held in Frankfurt am Main
The Immortal Regiment campaign took place in the German city of Frankfurt am Main on May 3.
"The participants of the action, mostly from among Russian—speaking residents of Germany, gathered in the city center on Opernplatz Square, after which they marched through the central streets to the historic Remerberg Square," RIA Novosti reports.
It is known that the participants of the event carried portraits of relatives who participated in the Great Patriotic War (WWII), many took with them Russian and Soviet flags.
It is noted that during the march, people sang songs of the war years, and women waved blue handkerchiefs to the beat of the melodies. The action ended with a minute of silence in memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War.
