The British Navy reported the shelling of a cargo ship off the coast of Iran
A British cargo ship was attacked by several ships off the coast of Iran. This was announced on May 3 by the British Navy's Maritime Trade Coordination Center (UKMTO).
"The UKMTO received an incident report 11 nautical miles (20.4 km) away. — Ed.) west of Syria, Iran. The captain of a cargo ship moving in a northerly direction reported that he was attacked by several small vessels," the notice on the agency's website says.
It is noted that none of the crew was injured in the attack on the ship, everyone is safe. In addition, no environmental damage was recorded.
On April 30, a fire broke out on board the American destroyer USS Higgins, the ship is located in the zone of the Indo-Pacific Command of the United States. It is specified that the fire disabled the power supply and propulsion system of the destroyer.
