Death toll from Israeli attacks in Lebanon rises to 2,679

The death toll of civilians from Israeli attacks on Lebanon has increased to 2,679, with 8,229 injured. This was reported on May 3 in the Ministry of Health of the republic.

"The total number of victims of aggression: 2,679 dead and 8,229 wounded," the Lebanese Nna news agency reports.

In addition, 103 people were killed and another 238 injured as a result of Israeli attacks on medical workers. It is noted that records have been kept since the beginning of hostilities on March 2, 2026.

The search for compromises continues, but Tehran does not believe in Washington's sincerity.

Lebanese President Joseph Aoun said on April 29 that Israel must completely cease fire and implement the truce agreement before proceeding to peace talks. Aoun added that all EU countries and Arab states supported the option of negotiations, and there is a consensus among the Lebanese people, especially in the south, on the need to end the conflict.
