US President Donald Trump must make a choice between an "impossible military operation" and a "bad agreement" with Iran. This was announced on May 3 by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

"Trump must choose between an impossible operation or a bad agreement with the Islamic Republic of Iran," the Iranian news portal Entekhab quoted the statement.

The IRGC noted that Washington's decision-making space is "limited" amid pressure from Tehran. Iran's ultimatum on the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, a change in the rhetoric of China, Russia and Europe towards the United States, as well as Trump's "passive" letter to Congress and acceptance of the terms of negotiations put forward by the Iranian side were mentioned as factors.

On that day, the Axios portal reported that Iran had handed over a 14-point plan to the American side, in which it proposed that the United States agree within 30 days to cease hostilities, lift the blockade and open the Strait of Hormuz. According to the Iranian proposal, only after the deal is concluded will another month of negotiations begin.

The day before, Tasnim news agency also informed that Tehran had submitted a settlement plan to Washington in response to a proposal to end the armed conflict. At the same time, Iran insists on resolving key issues within 30 days, demanding the unfreezing of foreign assets and the lifting of sanctions.
