The Russian budget will receive about 200 billion rubles due to the rise in oil prices on world markets. This was announced on May 3 by the head of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation Anton Siluanov.

"We are their (additional income. — Ed.) we are waiting. <...> We are talking about the amount of about 200 billion rubles," he said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin, a journalist at the Vesti news agency.

Siluanov clarified that revenue receipts and shortfalls in the state budget over the past two months have been at the same level, so these indicators will eventually balance each other.

On the same day, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov admitted that there would be an increase in world oil prices in the event of a reduction in supplies of Russian raw materials due to strikes by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on infrastructure. He added that even with a decrease in exports, Russian companies will earn more, and the state will receive additional funds.
