Russian synchronized swimmers took second place in the medal standings of the World Cup in China

The Russian synchronized swimming team took second place in the team medal standings at the third stage of the World Cup, which was held in Xi'an.

Russian athletes have won three gold, three silver and two bronze medals. The winner of the medal standings was the Chinese team, which won five gold, three silver and one bronze medals. The British national team took the third place with a score of 2-2-0.

The competition was held from 1 to 3 May. Russian athletes competed at the tournament under the national flag and the national anthem. This stage was the first for Russian synchronized swimmers after the lifting of restrictions by the International Swimming Federation.

On the eve of the Russian athletes Kira Cherezova and Valentina Gerasimova became the winners of the competition in the free duet program at the third stage of the Synchronized Swimming World Cup. The athletes received 304.6439 points. The second place was taken by Russians Kristina Chekhanova and Anastasia Sidorina with a score of 285,8040 points.
