- Sobyanin spoke about the expansion of adaptation programs for military veterans in Moscow
Moscow authorities are expanding programs for the adaptation of veterans of a special military operation, Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said.
According to him, this year the Unified Support Center has a common calendar of sports, creative and leisure events with a convenient schedule. "The list of activities at partner sites is regularly expanded, where, for example, you can go karting, bowling, and bench shooting," the mayor wrote on his channel in Maks.
The center develops and tests system solutions that are not only comprehensively applied in Moscow, but also transferred to other regions of Russia as part of an experience exchange program.
As the mayor noted, the city's efforts to support its fighters and their loved ones are supported by non-profit organizations in Moscow. NGOs, in particular, conduct "recovery training, master classes in tanning, painting, creativity, cooking, sand therapy classes and much more," Sobyanin said.
Moscow has become the first region in the country to create a Single Support Center where ITS participants and their families receive comprehensive assistance. The main task of the center is to help veterans return to civilian life after completing their service.
According to Sobyanin, over 500,000 services have already been provided during the operation of the Unified Center, including regional support measures, psychological and psychotherapeutic support, housing adaptation to the needs of a veteran, and assistance in obtaining a profession and further employment.
