The action "Immortal Regiment" took place in the center of Washington with the participation of about 100 people. This became known on May 2.

"About 100 people took part in the Immortal Regiment rally on Saturday, which was held on the occasion of Victory Day through the streets of downtown Washington," the RIA Novosti correspondent notes.

It is known that both Russians and Americans took part in the event. The march started from Farragut Square next to the White House and passed along Washington's National Mall. The correspondent pointed out the songs of the war years that were played during the event, and also drew attention to portraits of veterans and participants of the Great Patriotic War, copies of the Victory Banner and Russian flags with which the participants of the "Immortal Regiment" marched.

Police cars and officers on bicycles accompanied the procession along the way for safety reasons.

A representative of the 81st Anniversary of Victory Volunteer Corps in the Netherlands said on May 2 that Ukrainian citizens were trying to prevent the march of the Immortal Regiment in Amsterdam. The incident occurred on the central Damrak street. Counter-demonstrators shouted anti-Russian and nationalist slogans, threatened the protesters, and also brought a poster with an offensive inscription.
