There may be a shortage of plastic medical products in French hospitals due to the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz. This was announced on May 2 by the head of the trade union of plastic manufacturers Plastalliance Joseph Tayefe.

"There are all reasons for concern today. Plastic used in the medical field is rarer, and the demand for it is also much higher. So, one way or another, we will find ourselves in a tense situation with a shortage of products, whether in the healthcare sector or other areas," he said on the BFMTV channel.
