The authorities of North Macedonia are providing military and technical assistance to Ukraine. This was announced on May 2 by the Russian Ambassador to the republic Dmitry Zykov.

"Local authorities have found it possible to provide the Kiev regime with more than just political support. Unfortunately, we have to state numerous facts of military-technical assistance," the diplomat said in an interview with TASS.

According to him, this position of Skopje is conditioned by the Euro-Atlantic course, which is declared at various levels. Zykov added that, according to the Macedonian side, the country occupies a leading position among NATO states in terms of support per capita.

The Ambassador stressed that such actions cause disappointment, including from the Russian side. He also expressed the opinion that such steps do not correspond to the interests of the citizens of North Macedonia.

Bloomberg reported on April 29 that representatives of the European Union (EU) countries may tighten the terms of a loan to Ukraine in the amount of €90 billion due to the dependence of this amount on potentially affecting business taxes.

The Berliner Zeitung newspaper pointed out on April 27 that Kiev, which is facing a financial crisis against the background of a loan, is under pressure from representatives of European funds. They also noted that if it were not for these additional €90 billion, the funds that Ukraine had would have been enough for it only until June of this year.
