Due to the attacks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the power supply system of the Zaporizhia region was damaged.

The power supply system of the Zaporizhia region was seriously damaged as a result of attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). This was announced on May 2 by the governor of the region Evgeny Balitsky.

"As a result of the enemy's targeted massive attacks on the energy infrastructure facilities of the Zaporizhia region, our power supply system has suffered serious damage," he wrote on the Telegram channel.

According to him, some municipalities have already been connected to the electricity supply, but restoration work continues. The head of the region also warned that power outages could be repeated due to the scale of the damage.

The new ground control system allows drones to operate at a distance of up to 70 kilometers and protects operators from detection.

The day before, Balitsky reported that power facilities in the Zaporizhia region had been damaged as a result of an attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. He noted that specialists are working to restore power supply.
